A kind of grape tastes like an apple and pear mixed. Do you already have a picture of Newton cookie? My mother has a few figs in her garden and makes fig preserves, in the season. When you taste them before they go through the expense and time to make this dish to the store and buy a fig tree and taste for themselves. Good luck and I hope you like them.
A little hint for you: You can substitute another fruit to fig, if you want. This recipe sounds good and if you are not sure of figs, apples to use strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or any combination.
